The Northern Road
Stage 3 Upgrade – Penrith
The Northern Road Stage 3 Upgrade involved the construction of:
- 4.2km of road (Three lanes in each direction with median and dedicated kerbside bus lanes)
- Shared pedestrian and cyclist path
- Upgraded interchange with the M4 Motorway including a new wider bridge to replace the existing bridge
- Demolition of existing M4 Motorway bridge
- New traffic lights and turning lanes at nine intersections including replacement of roundabout.
